So as you may know from previous posts I have been on a fasting detox cleanse again. I would like to write this post for those out there who are curious about the whole procedure and what it is all about. It's a tough experience so make sure you are ready. I have studied deeply into western nutrition it was great to get a good understanding about the Eastern Diet, for example it can mean that you carefully choose foods to balance your Yin Yang energies. For example if you have a cold stomach don't eat pumpkins or green tea and so on.

Yes that's right raw food is not always great for you at all!!

Firstly picking the place - do your research and find out if it's the place for you, does it have the correct sort of environment, packages, activities, treatments, tests, doctors etc.....

When you get there, there are several sorts of packages you can take such as fasting, detox, weight loss etc... depending on what you want to get it out of it and what's best for your body. 

Upon arrival you get some tests done and see the doctor to choose what course you will be taking. I went for fasting, cleanse and detox. You can chose the amount of days according to how long you are staying but a minimum of 3 days for a fast is best.


We got given 12 different teas, juices and teas per day (within 12 hours) along with lots of warm  water.

Along with that came some extra supplements to take. You can alter these accordingly as long as you know your condition ☺️

Day to Day Schedule

  • Wake up at 6am
  • Get everything ready for all activities for the day and put them in a big bag
  • 7am exercise - Tai Chi - Qi Gong, Tao Yin (1hr)
  • 8:20am breakfast
  • Between 9am - 6pm you are kept busy with lots of treatments, appointments, activities, lectures, lessons, or exercise / free time
  • 6:15pm dinner
  • 8pm - healing sounds, mediation, Qi Gong & Tao Yin (80mins)
  • 9:30 get to your room, shower and get ready for bed / free time

If you happen to get any free time spend it in the sun or exploring the surrounding areas - local villages / temples. Even get a massage. 

After my fast and cleanse I moved to simple food and make sure you know exactly what is in your food.

I met lots of people from all over the world, we all went through different programs yet within the same system of the Tao so it was interesting to see what was going on.
