Dental Care Tips

Don't we all want nice clean shiny healthy gums, teeth and tongue? When our breath smells bad its also an indication of something going wrong in our organs too! Possibly SIBO!

What to consume less of: 

  • Sticky candies and sweets
  • Soft drinks / sports drinks
  • Dried fruits
  • Coffee / alcohol
  • Acidic food
  • Popcorn
  • Chewable pills
  • MSG + Dark sauces / Drinks

What to do: 

  • Brush your teeth 2-3 times a day (but wait 30 minutes to brush after eating acidic foods) 
  • Floss once a day
  • Drinks lots of water
  • Drink detoxing teas (suppresses bacteria) 
  • Eat green veggies to neutralise the acid on your teeth
  • Sugarless/natural chewing gum to help generate more saliva
  • Eat more raw nuts
  • More calcium-rich plant foods
  • Take probiotics to combat bad bacteria in the gut (shown on your tongue and in your breath!)

Brush with:

  • Baking Soda with peppermint essential oil
  • Specialized herbal toothpaste (inclduing cloves)
  • Activated Charcoal (now and then)
